Millennium Falcon poster by Sansini
Considering that it’s using the same image and also ships from Malaysia, i’m assuming that these posters by Sansini on Etsy is by the same person. This one’s a little more expansive and shows the Falcon flanked by a three Y-Wings over an unknown planet (Yavin’s fourth moon, perhaps?) Again, i like it.
As with the PosterInspired series, there’s also an X-Wing poster (i didn’t like this as much as the other one.)
There’s also this superb Star Destroyer poster.
At the moment, you can only buy these together. I have sent an email to see if they’d sell the prints seperately.
RIP Ralph McQuarrie 1929-2012
I appreciate that it’s a little late but on March 03rd 2012 Ralph McQuarrie passed away from Parkinsons disease at the age of 82. Ralph did a lot of the visualisation for not only Star Wars but other films and shows such as Battlestar Galactica, Indiana Jones and ET. Ralph’s vision encapsuates Star Wars like noone else. RIP Ralph, you will be sorely missed. I thought that i’d post his Millennium Falcon related work here.
I rather like these two paintings of the original design to the Falcon.

Return of the Jedi:
I have a rather nice book on the Art of Ralph McQuarrie at home. It’s a very nice addition to my library if a little expensive. You can order a copy from Dreams and Visions press here.
Well, I tried. :3
Yeah. The picture is crappy. I’m gonna scan them as soon as our printer is fixed. ^^
I used ballpen for I don’t have a pencil. USING A BALLPEN IS HARD OK. OTL(but somehow, it makes me feel like a pro. Hahahaha)
I seriously can’t keep calm while drawing Ken ok. I kept giggling the whole time. XD It’s my first time to draw a human face and I didn’t expect it to turn out that way. It made me cry. ;~; Kenichi is so cute in that picture. >_____________< Now I know the feeling of artists out there while drawing their biases. Hahahaha
As for the Manga version, I was already tired that’s why its like that .___. LOL sorry. B|

Rebels Stand by Dave Seeley
I posted here about a recent piece of art by Dave Seeley. Looking through his gallery he also did a very nice cover for the New Jedi Order book, Rebel Stand.
It feels a little wierd looking through the cockpit windows as I haven’t seen this perspective before. I have to confess that i find it quite striking.
I have this book at home, but i don’t think it has this cover. (Well, maybe not the full picture.)
Panic Room
French Artist Tilt has created the “Panic Room” inside the Au Vieux Panier hotel in Marseille, France.
Each of the five rooms of this hotel are redone annually by different artists who have “carte blanche” to express their creativity.
I don’t think that I could handle staying in this room. While the graffiti is awesome to look at, I don’t think it stimulates relaxation and easy sleeping.
